2. Cookies we use
Haze Clips uses three categories of cookie: strictly necessary, analytics, and error tracking. We do not use advertising cookies.
3. Strictly necessary
- Supabase auth session — keeps you logged in. Set on first login, expires when you log out.
- CSRF protection — short-lived tokens that prevent cross-site request forgery on state-changing requests.
- UI preferences — your theme and editor layout, stored in local storage on your device.
These are essential to the Service and cannot be disabled without breaking core features.
4. Analytics
We use PostHogfor product analytics and session replay. PostHog sets first-party cookies and stores anonymized event data. We use the “identified-only” profile mode, meaning we only associate events with you after you sign in.
5. Error tracking
We use Sentry to catch and diagnose runtime errors. Sentry may set a session ID cookie and capture stack traces with breadcrumbs. We strip emails and tokens from breadcrumbs server-side.
6. Third-party cookies
When you start a checkout or open the customer portal, we redirect you to Stripe's domain, which sets cookies under stripe.com for fraud prevention and billing. When you connect TikTok, YouTube, or Instagram, those platforms may set cookies under their own domains. Their cookie policies apply.
7. Opt out + browser controls
- Browser-level: most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their privacy settings. Doing so will log you out of Haze Clips.
- Analytics opt-out: send us an email at mail@hazeclips.com and we will exclude your account from PostHog product analytics.
- Do Not Track: we respect the “Sec-GPC” Global Privacy Control header. When sent, we treat it as a request to opt out of non-essential cookies.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we change our analytics or third-party integrations. The “last updated” date at the top of the page reflects the latest revision.
